» HTRI research reports offer powerful insights into heat transfer and fluid flow

eNews_Reports2

Since 1962, we have shared heat transfer and fluid flow insights with our members. Over 400 research reports document the methods used in our software, as well as investigate new technologies in the industries we serve. Recent reports have covered CFD studies, the kettle circulation model, fouling, and more.

Every visitor to our website can read the report abstracts. Members can gain full access to the reports based on the level of membership chosen by their company. If you have any questions about accessing research reports, contact your sales representative or membership.

DidYouKnow_Fouling

Fouling is not limited to just heat exchangers. It happens all around us. Dirty cars and dishes, cholesterol buildup in blood vessels, and dust in our electronics are all unwanted deposits with adverse effects. We can relate how we deal with fouling in our daily lives to how we deal with fouling in heat exchangers (and vice versa). For example, dirty dishes are easier to clean after they soak in a tub of water. This is similar to letting a heat exchanger soak in an ultrasonic bath so that it can be cleaned more effectively later by hydro-blasting.
